Information on referring a VAP client

Children Ahead provides intensive, therapeutic support to children and young people aged 0-18 years to assist their recovery from significant trauma or violence. It is unique in its offering as it utilises a case-management model coupled with a therapeutic approach to ensure that all people and services that are important to the child or young person are engaged in plans for their recovery.

As part of a phased role out, in the initial stages of offering the Children Ahead service to VAPs we will only be accepting referrals from the Melbourne metro region. However, we encourage VAPs with clients located regional areas to complete our form to assist us in understanding the needs of the regions and to guide the growth of the program.

If you would like to speak to someone directly regarding the Children Ahead service please call (03) 9697 0666 and ask to speak to the Children Ahead Duty Worker.
