Raise Your Bats

What is Raise Your Bats: Kids helping kids?

The Alannah & Madeline Foundation, official charity partner of Cricket Australia, is encouraging participants from Woolworths Cricket Blast Centres and junior cricket clubs to raise their bats – and raise much needed funds to keep children safe from violence and bullying.

Raise Your Bats encourages your club to give a voice to young cricketers and dedicate a week of activities to raising money for the Alannah & Madeline Foundation. It’s a chance to educate and instil a sense of giving into your Blasters and junior players – kids helping kids.

Choose the best weekend for your club and we’ll help set you up with your own unique online fundraising page.

Here are some fundraising tips from our mascot, Buddy Bear, with ideas and inspiration to get you started!

Pick a week for your club’s Raise Your Bats event.

Tell everyone to come to the day with a touch of purple, just like Buddy Bear.

Encourage all your aspiring cricketers to come up with some creative fundraising ideas.

Display a QR code at your ground that links to your fundraising page (the Foundation can assist with this if you need a hand).

Share the link to your fundraising page on social media and in your club newsletter.

Make a deal with the coach that they need to do something crazy if the kids raise a certain amount of dollars.
Sell purple-themed food on the day.

Educate the kids on where the money raised will be going so they can have that conversation with their friends and family.

C’mon, bowl us over – we’d love to hear what you’re up to!
