The Board of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation would like to introduce our new CEO

By Greg Sutherland, Chair, Alannah & Madeline Foundation in News

The Board of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation is proud to farewell outgoing CEO Lesley Podesta as she retires later this month.

Lesley’s commitment to the Foundation and the children that we help over the past five years has been outstanding.  We have experienced significant growth in our programs and our reach during her tenure.

Lesley’s passion and drive has ensured that the Foundation continues to be a highly respected, national organisation with an overarching vision to ensure that all children will live in a safe and supportive environment.  I’m sure you will join me in wishing Lesley all the very best for the next chapter of her life.

It is now time for me to introduce you to our new CEO, Sarah Davies.

Having spent five years as CEO of Philanthropy Australia – the national peak body and membership organisation for philanthropy in Australia, Sarah comes to us with significant experience and expertise in the leadership, management and governance of charities, non-profits and philanthropy.

Prior to her role with Philanthropy Australia, Sarah was CEO of The Reach Foundation, and CEO of the Australian Communities Foundation.

Before moving into the non-profit sector, her professional life included senior executive roles in tertiary education in Australia and private sector consulting in HR, marketing and strategy in Australia, Europe and the Middle East.

We welcome Sarah who will join us on 1 March.  We are delighted that she will be leading the Foundation.

I thank you sincerely for your support of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation as we work to ensure every child is safe and thriving.

Greg Sutherland
