The Alannah & Madeline Foundation supports campaigns that are aligned with our mission of keeping children safe from violence and creating behavioural change in the community to reduce bullying.
The National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence occurs annually. An initiative of Bullying No Way, this day is Australia's key anti-bullying event for schools, and an opportunity to say no to bullying and violence. Schools can register to be part of the movement and gain access to resources and lessons plans to use in the classroom. Join the conversation online by using the hashtag #BullyingNoWay.
The Alannah & Madeline Foundation supports Safer Internet Day, which occurs in February of each year to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially among children and young people across the world. At the Foundation we are working towards creating a cyber safe Australia, with our eSmart Libraries, eSmart Schools and our newly launched eSmart Digital Licence programs.
Our National Centre Against Bullying has many resources about how to cope with being cyber bullied, what to do if someone you know is being cyber bullied, and how to stay safe online.
National Child Protection Week raises awareness and understanding to help protect children from abuse and neglect. The week reminds us all that children are our future, and protecting them is everyone's responsibility. Our mission is to keep children safe from violence.
Through our Better Buddies and eSmart Schools Framework, the Foundation works to create cultural change that ensures children have safe and supportive environments at home and at school.
