The Alannah & Madeline Foundation relies on the generous support of our dedicated volunteers. Volunteering to charities is an extremely rewarding experience. Every contribution helps us keep children safe from violence.

Every little bit helps

Our large base of volunteers generously give their time to help with office administration, Buddy Bag packing and at our events held throughout the year. Being a volunteer for charity empowers people and brings communities together.

One of our volunteers, Jane, says; "I had always been touched by the sentiment of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation and think it does fantastic work, particularly for children who have no control over their circumstances. So when I had a chance to volunteer for charity at a Foundation event, I jumped at it. Starry Starry Night is a really well organised gala ball. What I loved most about the event was the fantastic feeling of everyone getting together and having fun."

The entertainment was great, the celebrities were very warm and friendly - it didn't really feel like work at all. I would highly recommend others volunteer for Starry Starry Night, especially if you are looking to have a fun night out, while giving time to this very worthwhile cause."

Ways to volunteer

Volunteering for our fundraising events is a rewarding way to support the Alannah & Madeline Foundation.

The success of our fundraising events depends on our volunteers and voluntary work - we can't do it without you.

You can also volunteer with us at our head office in South Melbourne.

We require volunteers to assist our staff with a wide range of activities where you can share your skills and experience to make a difference.

Previous experience and qualifications are not mandatory. Our volunteers really do make a difference.
