Story eleven – Eli’s Mum
"My son Eli has been through more than any child should. More than most adults would know how to handle…. which sometimes makes him pretty hard to handle. Parenting a child who’s experienced trauma can take a lot out of you. Especially when you are struggling with the same trauma. I always thought asking for help is a sign of weakness, but it isn’t. Sometimes you just can’t deal with it on your own.
I am so thankful that Eli’s school connected us with the Alannah & Madeline Foundation. It’s heartwarming to know that there are people who’ll provide your child support and that there are people out there who will help you."
