Story fifteen – Dorothy, Foster Carer
“A couple of months ago, in the middle of the night, a little traumatised boy arrived on my doorstep for foster care. It was clear that he had been through one of the worst days of his life.
The only thing he had was a Buddy Bag, from your Foundation which he was so proud of.
I saw what was in it and what it meant to him as he fell asleep, freshly bathed and in his clean PJs and undies, clutching his bear so tightly as he was so scared.
I then quietly went in to my walk-in robe, shut the door, sat down and cried my eyes out. The gifts were priceless that night. Thank you.”
