Starry Starry Night 2007

The 10th anniversary of Starry Starry Night presented by Lexus of Blackburn was the most successful yet. Hosted by Megan Gale and Eddie McGuire AM, the night saw over 1100 guests treated to a bevy of Carnivale-inspired acts, performed by Australia’s leading entertainment and sporting stars.

Kicking off the night’s extravaganza were Joelene Anderson and Gorgi Quill with a dazzling and energetic performance of Hook Me Up. Fifi Box and Tony Woods took to the dance floor with (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life, while crowd favourites Hamish and Andy had the guests on their feet with a stunning rendition of The Blue’s Brothers song Rawhide.

Thanks to Lexus of Blackburn, a special guest appearance from London West End star Chris Fennessy and La Forza was a highlight of the evening. Their moving performance of You Raise Me Up, saw our guests digging deep at the main auction.

Starry Starry Night raised over $765,000 through our auctions, Buddy Bags, raffle and Sparkle Bar – a record for The Alannah and Madeline Foundation! This included in excess of $176,000 for the Buddy Bags Program to provide essential items to children in emergency care.

The Alannah and Madeline Foundation would like to extend a special thank you to those companies that purchased 100 Buddy Bags each: NAB, Lexus of Blackburn, Australia Post, Collingwood Football Club, Kay & Burton, Dept of Education, Alannah Hill, Telstra, Pacsoft, ANZ and Jeff Wignall Ford.

Thank you to all our celebrity entertainers who delighted us with their amazing performances. Thanks also to every celebrity who hosted a table – without you this night would not be possible.
