The Alannah and Madeline Foundation are looking for volunteers to help at this year's world renowned Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th March 2010. The show is set to return with an explosion of colour and design and, after 14 years, proudly remains the biggest annual flower and garden show in the southern hemisphere!

The Alannah and Madeline Foundation have been chosen as charity partner of the 2010 show. The Foundation will have an indoor display, some presence in the Children's Garden and a merchandise stand.

Location

Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens.

Date and Times

We require a number of volunteers to help on Wed 24th, Thurs 25th, Fri 26th, Sat 27th and Sun 28th of March. There are two shifts per day available. Each shift runs for 3 and a 1/2 hours. Shift times are from 9.30 - 1pm and 1pm - 4.30pm.

Please note you must be available for a minimum of two shifts over the 5 days.

Volunteer Activities

  • Assist with enquiries and provide directions and information to guests regarding the show.
  • Man the Foundation's displays, assist with general queries about the Foundation and promote the cause.
  • Help facilitate donations and the silent auction/raffle.

Training

Volunteers will be provided with an information pack before the Show and will be asked to attend the venue the day before the Show opening at 4pm (Tues 23rd March) for a short 45 minute briefing and tour of the grounds.
