Here are some examples of how your donation will help The Alannah and Madeline Foundation keep children safe from violence.

Buddy Bags Program

  • $10 per month for one year provides a child entering emergency accommodation with an entire Buddy Bag filled with toiletries, underpants, pyjamas, a teddy bear and other essential items.
  • $25 funds toiletries (toothpaste, brush etc) for a child's Buddy Bag
  • $50 provides toiletries, underpants and pyjamas for a child's Buddy Bag
  • $75 provides toiletries, underpants, pyjamas and a teddy bear for a child's Buddy Bag.
  • $120 funds an entire Buddy Bag containing essential items for a child entering emergency accommodation.

Better Buddies Program

  • $8 buys a Buddy Bear and supports the Better Buddies Framework to create safe and caring school communities where bullying is reduced.
  • $30 buys a Buddy Bear Puppet for a primary school and supports the Better Buddies Framework.
  • $150 funds a visit by Buddy Bear to a primary school.
  • $2200 implements the Better Buddies Framework into a primary school.

Intensive Support Program

  • $20 covers the cost for a child to have a full health assessment with a medical practitioner.
  • $50 contributes to buying a child a pair of shoes or a similar essential item.
  • $100 means a child will be able to attend a therapeutic camp.
  • $250 buys a child a pair of corrective glasses.
  • $250 covers the cost for a child to attend a child psychologist for 3 months.
  • $400 provides a child with one term of tutoring.
  • $500 covers the cost for a child to attend a child psychologist for 6 months.
  • $1,000 covers the cost for a child to attend a child psychologist for 12 months.
  • $4,000 will put a child through the Intensive Support Program for a year.

Refuge Therapeutic Support Program

  • $5,000 will fund a years worth of psychotherapy, music, pet or art therapy sessions at a domestic violence refuge for a group of children.
