Patron of the Alannah and Madeline Foundation, I congratulate
all who support the important work of the Foundation for child
victims of violent crime and sudden loss of family. All Australians,
from government through to individuals, need to work together
to minimise the risk of future tragedy in the lives of our young
people.
Our children are our future. We must ensure that the society
they inherit will be one characterised by love and concern for
children and freedom from violence."
